About Roberto Torralbas
Roberto Torralbas was born in Havana, Cuba December 19, of 1984 and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt with over 5 years of experience in both competitive grappling and teaching. He is currently the Owner and Head Instructor of Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He began his training in Judo at an early age. Roberto is also an Ivy League graduate.
At the age of ten, he left Cuba and moved to the United States in the pursuit of a brighter future. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering in May 2006. It was at Cornell where he returned to train Judo seriously and competitively. During training one day he was introduced to a group of guys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The event left a lasting impression. BJJ became his new passion. Under the coaching of Danny Ives ( iveyleaguemma.com) & Julius Park (88bjj.com) he quickly made a fast progression in the sport.
Danny Ives and Julius Park introduced him to TEAM LLOYD IRVIN which was the #1 RATED team in both 2004 and 2006 and from there success followed. He became a multiple time NAGA Champion, Grappler's Quest Champion, Pan American Champion, ADCC North American Trials Veteran and now is currently training to become World Champion. About Becker Escalante
Beker Escalante is a current student at Edison College in Naples, Florida where he is studying to be a physical therapist. Coming from many years of playing soccer, he switched into training with Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu his senior year in high school after he was astonished of how big of a difference it made in the UFC. He competes constantly and is making great progress as time goes by. Loving and being dedicated to the sport has brought him a long way not only with his technique but also to the point where he is willing to give back by helping out the academy in many different aspects.
About Kevin Dalton
Kevin Dalton was born in Long Island, NY on February 14, 1978. Kevin is one of Roberto Torralabas's most dedicated students and a seasoned competitor. Kevin brings to Third Law BJJ his coaching experience from working and traveling all over the country with the Long Island's Bobcats . Kevin loves to coach and to compete. He is looking forward to giving back and helping to the Collier and Lee County communities by helping Third law BJJ to have the best kids program in United States.
